NYSCOPBA continues to fight against staffing cuts and facility closures. Our message is clear; DOCS maintains a bloated administration that has no benefit to the Department, employees or community. Administrative cuts have no impact on safety and security and it is unacceptable to cut the staff providing those services.
NYSCOPBA continues our fight by working with the Assembly Statewide Forums on Workforce Issues in the Correctional System to schdule meetings accross the state where members can attend and have thier voices heard regarding improving prison safety, staff working conditions and community safety.
