Green Haven CF

Inmate returned to his cell after cell clean up and did not lock his cell gate. Officer gave him multiple orders to lock his gate and the inmate refused to comply. Officer went to the inmates cell and attempted to close the cell and the inmate used both hands on the Officer’s shirt and attempted to pull him into the cell. The Officer attempted to push away and activated his P.A.S. as the inmate punched the Officer multiple times. Officer responded to 2-company as the inmate was pulling the Officer into his cell and used canister #20 of OC pepper spray to the inmate’s face. The inmate let go of the Officer and continued to violently struggle and refused to comply with putting his hands on the wall. Body holds were used and mechanical restraints were applied as the inmate continued to struggle.
