Officers were escorting an inmate back to the block after refusing staff direction from the mess hall. In G Block corridor inmate punched officer with several closed fist punches, striking the officer in the left forehead area. Inmate was taken to the floor by officers using body holds. Inmate uncooperative with staff orders to stop resisting, finally became compliant when mechanical restraints were applied.
