While returning an RMHU inmate to his cell after a cell frisk, the inmate pulled his cuffs in the hatch breaking off the cuff key. The Officer’s hands were dragged and scraped along side of feed up hatch while he was trying to keep control of the cuffs. The inmate eventually allowed the cuffs to be removed but the end of the cuff key was not immediately recovered. Inmate was placed on a contraband watch where the cuff key was recovered.
