While escorting a restrained RMHU inmate back from program on D gallery, the inmate turned and struck an Officer in the chest with his elbow. The Officer and his partner used body holds to try and force the combative inmate to the floor. During the altercation the same Officer that was struck was also bitten on his left forearm. The Officer used multiple strikes to the inmate to release the bite and gain compliance with the inmate.
