Officer Stabbed Multiple Times by Inmate at Auburn Correctional Facility

Auburn, NY — A 49-year-old inmate serving a 20 years-to-life sentence attacked a correctional officer at the maximum-security facility on Monday, March 2,  punching him in the face and stabbing him with a makeshift ice pick-type weapon. The assault left one officer with three puncture wounds and resulted in injuries to four other officers who responded to the attack. Full Press Release
