Inmate was observed acting suspiciously like he was hiding something. While conducting a pat frisk, an Officer felt an unknown object. The inmate suddenly bolted from the Officer and ran down the unit gallery. Inmate reached into his pants and threw an object to the floor. While Officers were subduing the inmate, the inmate elbowed an Officer to the face. While helping the restrained inmate to his feet, the inmate suddenly dropped back down to the floor, causing the responding Officer to fall to the ground as well, injuring the Officer’s knee, shoulder and wrist. The object the inmate threw tested positive for marijuana.
