Assault Alert: Midstate CF

Officer approaches inmate on dormitory in wrong cubicle and begins to question inmate. Inmate becomes belligerent to Officer and proceeds to exit area. Officer orders inmate to produce ID card – inmate turns and faces Officer in an aggressive manner. Officer deploys OC pepper spray with delay in desired effect. Inmate runs down corridor and grabs wall mounted stretcher. Inmate threatens Officer with stretcher and Officer applies more pepper spray without desired effect. Inmate uses stretcher and strikes Officer in left forearm. Officer applies pepper spray again – desired effect takes place. Inmate attempts to lunge at water fountain and Officer uses body holds to take inmate to floor, activates alarm and response arrives.
