Inmate was leaving his work assignment as mess hall worker in the rotunda. Inmate passed through the metal detector which alerted. Officer started to perform a pat frisk on inmate when he suddenly turned off the wall and struck Officer in the left side of his face with a right closed fist. Body holds were used on the struggling inmate.
