Incident Follows NYSCOPBA’s Calls For More Protection for Female Officers Against Sexual Assault
Ossining, NY – A 42 year old inmate at Sing Sing Correctional Facility serving a 18 year sentence for two counts of Rape 1st, attempted to kiss a female officer and continued to advance on her as she fended him off at the maximum security prison.
The incident occurred on Thursday, May 18. The inmate approached the officer and attempted to kiss her but was unsuccessful. The officer struck the inmate, attempting to create space from the inmate. He laughed at the officer and continued to advance. FULL PRESS RELEASE
