Inmate was escorted to medical after being in an inmate on inmate fight. After fight examination by medical, inmate was ordered to put his hands behind his back to apply mechanical restraints. Inmate refuse and took an aggressive posture. After refusing several direct orders force was used to apply restraints. Inmate was being escorted out of examination area when he kicked a metal door closed, crushing Officer’s right hand in the door frame, almost severing his middle finger tip. The Officer had to be taken to outside hospital where it was determined that he had a broken ring finger and a broken middle finger and  his middle finger tip had to be stitched back on to his finger.
