Officer Transported to Local Hospital for Injuries

Naponach, NY – A 36 year old inmate who entered the Ulster Correctional Facility Reception Center the day before, attacked staff in the medical facility, injuring one officer who needed further treatment at a local hospital for his injuries.

On Wednesday, June 28, the inmate became irate in the medical facility and struck an officer with his shoulder as he passed by exiting the exam room.  The officer stepped back from the inmate, who then attempted to punch the officer.   FULL PRESS RELEASE
