Staff Recover Scalpel Used in Attack
Malone, NY – An inmate, who was previously caught with a make-shift weapon, cut an officer with a ceramic scalpel Monday at the maximum security prison.
The officer was conducting a security watch of the inmate, who was in a holding cell. The officer began to collect inmate food trays and approached the holding cell. The inmate reached through the cell hatch door and cut the officer’s forearm with an unknown weapon. FULL PRESS RELEASE
