RMHU Officer was working visit room when an inmate requested to use the bathroom. Officer opened the visit area door for the inmate to exit area and use the bathroom. As the door opened the inmate stepped toward Officer and struck him in the face with a closed fist. Other Officers assisted with body holds to bring the inmate to the floor and apply mechanical restraints to get the inmate to comply. Inmate refused medical assessment and was not compliant with use of force photographs. Inmate was then escorted back to his cell. While being placed into his cell Inmate kicked back at staff and pulled into his cell, taking staff with him. Inside his cell Officers used body holds to force inmate onto his bed and control him.
