Celebrating 20 years of independence

New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association, Inc.

The NYS Agencies that employ NYSCOPBA LE Members have failed to distribute and offer Masks to all LE Members. I have personally requested many times that this needs to be priority to keep everyone safe and healthy.

As communicated last week, I am making the decision for them. I cannot allow any of you to go to work in these conditions without at minimum a safe useable mask. If anyone has their own mask, please bring it in and use it. If any of your facility administrators or supervisors have issues with you protecting yourself, tell them to call Albany and you call your LE NYSCOPBA Albany Representative. NYSCOPBA has also ordered thousands of surgical masks for members. The first shipment should be in next week. Surgical masks were the only ones available at this time.

Personal masks must be clean, nothing imprinted on them and not displaying anything considered to be offensive.

My priority is and has been trying everything I can to keep you and your families safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. NYSCOPBA will continue to fight for all of you, no matter the cost.

Stay Safe and Healthy.
