Sustains Multiple Injuries in Attack
Rome, NY – An officer sustained multiple injuries when an inmate suddenly attacked him during a body frisk at the medium security correctional facility.
The attack occurred on Tuesday, January 12, at approximately 7:20 p.m. The officer was conducting a frisk of the inmate when the inmate suddenly struck the officer violently in the chin. The officer grabbed the inmate in a body hold and forced him to ground. FULL PRESS RELEASE
