While conducting the afternoon meal run and inmate became loud and argumentative towards an officer, and Sgt. Regarding certain religious procedures. During the altercation the inmate was ordered to submit to a pat frisk. After placing his hands on the wall the inmate then came off the wall, and struck the officer with the backside of his head (head butt). The officer was struck on his head and temple area. The inmate was restrained and mechanical restraints were applied.
