New Inmate Attacks Staff in Reception Center

Napanoch, NY – A 28 year old inmate who came to the Ulster Correctional Facility Reception Center on May 19 after recently being convicted of robbery, attacked a sergeant in one of the facility dorms at the medium security correctional facility.

The assault occurred on Thursday, June 1. An officer assigned to the dorm called for a supervisor to respond to talk with a new inmate at the facility who was being disruptive. The sergeant approached the inmate and attempted to talk to him.  FULL PRESS RELEASE
