Inmate Attacks Staff, Fights With Officers Before Being Subdued
Coxsackie, NY – A 25 year old inmate serving a five year sentence for robbery, attacked two officers who were attempting to return him to his cell and injured four other officers who responded to help subdue the violent inmate at the medium security correctional on Monday.
At approximately 3:49 p.m., two officers were escorting the inmate back to his cell after he was seen by medical staff at the facility. The inmate refused the officers’ orders to enter his cell and began yelling that we was suicidal and homicidal.
