During a suspicious pat frisk of inmate in the dayroom of a housing unit, the inmate turned from the wall and struck an Officer to the left side of his face with an elbow strike. A nearby Officer activated his PAS and then both Officers took the inmate to the floor using body holds. Mechanical restraints were applied, ending the use of force.
