Officer was covering Inmate at ECMC. Inmate was going to be discharged. At this time the Inmate jumped up from the bed, grabbed a medical monitor and struck the Officer in the head, causing him to fall to the floor. Several CO’s and hospital security subdued the combative Inmate.
