Don't
have a username and password? If you are a NYSCOPBA member and you want
to be able to access the secure areas of the web site, please email nyscopba@nyscopba.org
or contact Member Services. |
Why
do some areas of the secure web site require a "domain"? The
web site has multiple locations to store secure documents and there may
be some differences in the window that asks for your password. Regardless
of the type of dialogue box, you only need to enter the username and password.
Leave the Domain blank. |
|
Can't
see the left menu? Try lowering your internet security settings. Open
Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet Options, Security Tab, Custom.
Set Security to Medium. The menu is a java script application so you must
have java enabled in your browser
|
|
Can't
open some documents? Our site uses many PDF documents. To
view these documents, you will need to install Adobe Reader. Click
the link below and follow the instructions.
|
|
Why
is the left menu expanded and won't collapse? The behavior of the java
menu depends upon the browser, version and java version. Firefox 1.0 displays
the expanded menu and will not allow you to collapse it. |
What
does the lock icon mean?
The lock icon denotes documents that are located in a secure area. These
documents require a username and password. Please note that some documents
(Executive Assembly & Board minutes) that are in a secure area are also
encrypted with a second password. These documents are in Adobe format and
will display a dialogue box asking for just a password. If you need a username
or either password, please contact Membership
Services. |
I
click on a link and and nothing happens or the document takes a long time
to load. Many of our documents are quite large and saved in PDF format
that require Adobe reader to view. These documents take time to load and
there is little indication that the document is loading. If you have the
status bar enabled, it may indicate that the document is being downloaded
or is loading. |
When
I try to print an Adobe PDF, the printout is of part of the web site or
a blank page. When an Adobe PDF loads the plug-in to display the PDF
file within the web page, a toolbar is also loaded at the top of the PDF
document. To print the document, use the print icon on the Adobe tool bar,
not the print icon on the browser. |
