NYSCOPBA, Inc. is the Union representing over 23,000 New York State Employees in this Security Services Unit. NYSCOPBA was formed in 1998 in an effort to bring independent representation to our members rather than being grouped with other State employees. NYSCOPBA, Inc. was certified in 1999 and since that time has provided superior representation to our members under the independent model.

Description
New York State Insurance Fund
Administers benefits and eligibility for employees covered under workers compensation.
NYS Workers' Compensation Board
Workers' compensation insurance provides weekly cash payments and the cost of full medical treatment, including
rehabilitation, for covered employees who become disabled as a result of a disease or injury connected with their employment. It also provides payments for qualified dependents of a worker who dies from a compensable injury or illness. NYS Advocate for Injured Workers is a program offered by the Workers' Compensation Board to assist injured workers.
